Cleaning and vacuuming: Your new rug will last longer and retain its appearance if you vacuum it regularly. Vacuuming helps prevent dirt from working its way from the surface into the rug fibres, where it can build up and cause wear.
For regular cleaning, we recommend using a traditional vacuum cleaner with a standard suction head. Both synthetic and wool rugs should be vacuumed in the direction of the pile. This helps minimise surface damage and removes as much dust as possible.

Protect your rug from strong sunlight and harsh mechanical wear. Moving furniture, hard or rough-edged castors, and aggressive beating can damage the rug. You should also protect it from the wear and creasing caused by opening doors. To ensure even wear, it is worth rotating the rug from time to time after cleaning.
Removing stains: When a rug becomes stained or a liquid is spilled on it, the most important rule is to act quickly. Do not allow the stain to dry. Blot up the spilled liquid with a clean white cloth or paper towel. Never rub the stain, as this can make it spread. Once you have absorbed the liquid, work from the outer edge of the stain towards the centre and use a clean cloth with rug cleaning solution to remove the remaining mark.

Do not soak the stained area, as this can cause the stain to spread. Once you have removed the stain, blot up any excess moisture with a paper towel. For more stubborn stains, repeat the process until the mark has completely disappeared.
