The interview with the owner of Kabiri Carpet offers an insight into a world where hand-knotted oriental rugs are more than interior furnishings. They are cultural treasures that preserve centuries-old traditions. The conversation shows how professional expertise, personal experience and the international rug trade come together.
Kabiri Carpet has specialised in oriental rugs for decades, with particular emphasis on hand-knotted Afghan, Persian, Indian and Central Asian pieces. The interview highlights the craftsmanship behind every rug and the techniques passed down through generations. The owner also explains that selecting rugs is not simply a commercial activity. It also carries cultural responsibility, as these works reflect the history, motifs and lifestyles of Eastern peoples.
The video also explores how the role of rugs has changed over recent decades. Once primarily functional objects, they have increasingly become defining elements of interior design, bringing style, warmth and individuality into the home. The owner emphasises the importance of quality, authenticity and handcraftsmanship, which distinguish genuine oriental rugs from machine-made alternatives.
The interview is not only interesting from a professional perspective. It is also valuable for anyone who wants to understand the stories and traditions behind oriental rugs. The video brings this distinctive world closer and shows why these rugs remain timeless pieces that can retain their value.
By the end of the conversation, viewers gain a clear sense that Kabiri Carpet is more than a shop. It is a place where the traditions of oriental rug culture continue to live on, and where every piece has a genuine story behind it.
